A big thank you to everyone who purchased a sewing kit in the past week. There are 12 kits left in the first edition. So far we have raised $125 to donate to Kiva. In the next coming weeks I will post more information on the lending process and some entrepreneurs I am considering lending to. I am beginning to work on a second edition that will come out in late September. Stay tuned!

Hi, I'm so glad you've raised so much for Kiva, it's a great cause. $10 of that was from me as I bought one for me & one for my best friend. And now I've bookmarked your tutorial about making a zippered pouch & I'm really looking forward to giving it a whirl, I've been teaching myself to sew this year & it is about time I tackled zippers. Your blog is very interesting, I am going to send a link to your Vancouver guide to my brother, he just moved to Vancouver yesterday to start grad school in math.
